I watched Memento for the second time this weekend, with fairmer and splash_the_cat, and now I have written my second piece of Memento fic. It's gen, some naughty language, and is both spoilerish and unlikely to make sense if you haven't seen the movie. It may not make sense even if you have seen the movie, unless you were specifically watching for Callum Keith Rennie.

It's rough, stumbling into somebody else's story--rough, and pretty fucking confusing.

(no subject)

So, something I didn't say when I posted about my Dad finding my LJ, but which I suppose was probably pretty clear implicitly, was that he's my favorite of my two parents, and so what he thinks of me matters a great deal. What I forgot, in the excitement, is that he's my favorite for a really good reason. I just got the following email from him, which I will just quote in its entirety because it pretty much speaks for itself:

After you all left, Mom mentioned that tappu had told you what I said about Dad's should never access their kids LJs. I was mostly kidding so I hope you didn't get the wrong idea. I was essentially joking about some of the language you and iuliamentis use in your journals. I will not visit in the future so as not to have a "chilling effect" as we say in the law, on your rights to free expression :) Seriously, I don't visit anymore because I don't understand most of what you're talking about, so its sort of a self-eliminating kind of thing, so don't stiffle yourself on my account.
