It makes me happy!

Okay, Neal's Radical Honesty is now officially my favorite character on this show. HE TELLS PETER WHAT'S GOING ON. HE TELLS PETER WHEN HE THINKS PETER IS CONSPIRING AGAINST HIM. HE TELLS PETER WHEN HE'S DOING SOMETHING PETER DOESN'T WANT HIM TO DO.

AND THEN PETER LISTENS TO HIM AND HELPS HIM AND THEY WORK TOGETHER.

Peter and El have the best marriage on TV but Peter and Neal are coming up fast behind them, I swear to God. And not even in a tinhat way.

Well, mostly not in a tinhat way. Peter did get dressed in front of him and all.

I wasn't expecting Neal's radical honesty to apply to people who are not Peter (or Elizabeth or Mozzie). The whole being honest with random company woman you just met being sketchy... seemed far too trusting to me. I don't know - is it just that I'm not good with honesty, or was it weird?

Did he tell her anything in an uncontrolled situation beyond "I'm with the FBI?" I have to admit that when Neal is interacting with people who are not Peter or Elizabeth or Mozzie the dialogue sometimes blurs out and I just enjoy the pretty. *g*

You can watch Neal learning! It's kind of awesome. Peter talks, and he listens, and then they trust each other!

It makes me SO HAPPY. I keep waiting for the miserable fic-trope with the secret-keeping and suspicion to kick in, and this season it keeps. not. materializing. It's like there was ONE TIME when Neal suspected Peter was evil, and Peter demonstrated that Neal could trust him, and then Neal remembered that. AMAZING.

I love their relationship-- actually, I love pretty much all the relationships in this, but especially the ones Peter is in. It's not just me, right? I mean, anyone Peter is in any kind of relationship with (married, colleagues, friends, mentor, whatever), it's a relationship based on people being adults. He's so trustworthy and decent, people not only trust him, but become more trustworthy themselves, so they *talk* about things.
