1) Okay, so, yes, clearly pseudonanowrimo did not work out. Stupid November. Am still plugging away at the epic, trying not to be waylaid by any of the (many) worse ideas for how the story could have gone that would, you know, require me to rewrite the whole thing. Because no.

2) Heeeeeey, so Friday's episode! Spoilers for Numb3rs 3x08 - Hardball )

Words Tuesday: 34. Here they are, with some redactions to prevent spoiling.

[Redacted] nodded. "So [redacted] [redacted] you for a while, huh? [Redacted]?"

[Redacted] shrugged and didn't say anything.

"Okay," [Redacted] said briskly, and [redacted] looked up to see [redacted] ticking off points on [redacted] fingers.

...yeah, I'm going to go delete most of last night's work of staggering genius now and try to replace it with. Something.

...at least, I think I did. On the one hand, yay paper ballot! On the other, provisional just has such a ... questionable ring to it. Also, I was my precinct's first provisional ballot of the day, so I caused a certain amount of confusion--they seemed to get it down to a science by the time the third guy joined me at the table, though.

YAY YULETIDE ASSIGNMENTS ARE GOING OUT TONIGHT! YAAAAAAAAAY!!!

Except, zomg, I am already getting nervous. YULETIDE OH GOD.

Also: I am already behind on pseudonanowrimo. There were. Issues. And I had class tonight! And it's hard being me! Anyway.

Reason for stopping: Hit my word count goal! And wanted to work on That Story I Was Supposed to Finish Before November, oops.

Then there was a short detour for running out to the 7-11 to buy Downy after starting laundry and then realizing I was out of dryer sheets, followed by the slightly longer "wait, how does fabric softener work again?" adventure. Which has hopefully ended well.

But now: more writing! on the other thing! whee!

So today is October 31st, which means today is not only All Hallows Eve but also Nanowrimo Eve. And I have (cunningly!) formed a (diabolical! or psychotic! or both!) plan to do something I am calling a pseudonanowrimo, mainly because I find pseudonanowrimo to be a fun thing to go around saying.

Pseudo in the sense that I'm not starting anything new tomorrow: I'm taking a deep breath and jumping back into the goddamn Numb3rs epic, which I have been idling on lately, with the intention of busting out the last 50,000 words in a month (or however many it winds up being, however fast is humanly possible--what genius decided on November for this? Thanksgiving weekend road trip to Boston via New Jersey, I AM LOOKING AT YOU. To say nothing of school.)

Anyway: Numb3rs epic. 50,000 words in a month, or something like that. In the spirit of (pseudo)nanowrimo I'll be posting word counts every day, so feel free to defriend/filter/spend the next thirty days rolling your eyes and scrolling by really fast/heckle when the whole plan collapses three days in. Wheee!

Furthermore, I have a shiny new Larry icon (my first!) courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] delgaserasca, and in my head this all goes together. We are lacing up our shoes, Larry and I. We are getting ready to go.
