1. Is written language used in real-time communication developing into an independent speech modality comparable to oral/aural and manual/visual speech? Consider primacy of typing as mode of communication, degrading one-to-one translation between real-time-written and spoken English, use of peculiarities of typed language (typos, emoticons, fonts, etc.) as means of enhancing expression.
2. Do I hate my job enough to go back to working nights? Consider possibility of spiffy vest-and-nametag combo vs. the scheduling evils disguised by the phrase "five nights a week."
