Friday ergo meme.
Picked this one up from wandering my friendsfriends. First sentence of the first post of each month of 2004:
Haven't posted in a while, because I don't know what to say, but I wanted to say: hi.
I really fucking hate Mondays.
Every Friday, without fail, when I unplug the AC adapter from my Walkman to take it home, the cord falls behind the desk.
John Scalzi is dispensing some pretty nice pro-writing advice over at The Whatever, including this encouraging observation:
Ran some errands today - collected roommates from airport, paid the rent, popped borrowed MFU tapes back in the mail to the lending library, and hit the mall in search of a bra I could wear under a white shirt, since I don't seem to have any.
Do you ever find yourself thinking something like "Joe Dick could totally kick Hugh Dillon's ass," and then stop and try to work out what's most intensely wrong about that thought?

Through what my mother would call the grace of God, and what I regard as the sheerest of dumb luck, I have never experienced sexual violence.
I'm back from WorldCon - it's all a bit of a blur, the way cons are, and I haven't quite wrapped my brain around the idea that that was my weekend, and I have to go to work tomorrow, but...

So, yesterday, twelve days after my actual birthday, my parents came down to take me out to dinner and buy me something for my birthday.
AIDS isn't over.
