So
estrella30 and
brooklinegirl both recced this lovely song, "Hannah" by Ray LaMontagne, which I quite love. And because I can apparently find the slash anywhere, this verse really caught my ear:
I mean, sure, maybe, from the capitalization, he's talking about Jesus. Or maybe, from the context of the rest of the song, he's talking about Jim Beam (or whoever the personification of a bottle of wine would be - Earnest or Julio Gallo? Bartles? James? Farmer Boone?). But all I'm saying is the singer's name is Ray and Hannah scans the same as Stella. Just. Saying. Ahem.
I climb the tree with my Hannahlee
My intentions they were pure
Oh the breeze did whip and I lost my grip
And I tumbled towards the earth
Where you never would guess who it was that stood below
And His name I would never tell
But His eyes were clear
And His arms were strong
And He caught me as I fell
