The Supreme Court of New York has ruled that same-sex couples must be allowed to marry.

I gather from DailyKos commentary that this isn't totally final - the Supreme Court of New York is not, apparently, quite as supreme as its name implies - but that the decision, as handed down, is pretty solid and will present a challenge to anyone wishing to appeal.
