disconnected musical thoughts.
Am at work and v. v. tired.
Currently, am listening to the Placebo cover of "Running up that Hill," which
danvers vidded for Atlantis, and which is therefore inextricably a John/Rodney song in my head. I had it stuck in my head for the first hour of the baby shower yesterday, until it was replaced by Peter Outerbridge singing "I'm Not a Fucking Drag Queen."
I always forget how much I like the Foo Fighters until I hear their newest song on the radio. This morning I had to turn off the car in the midst of their new one ("The Best of You" ?) to dash after the bus, as was running a bit late due to the oversleep/grogginess, and if I were not listening to Placebo right this second, I would have it stuck in my head. I don't suppose anybody could possibly drop/YSI it to me in the next few hours?
Last night, after hearing "Short Skirt, Long Jacket" on the radio on my way home from the shower, I added some Cake to my playlist. I was lying in bed half-asleep when "Sheep Go to Heaven (Goats Go to Hell)" rotated up, too far gone to remember whether somebody actually vidded the song as a gentle poke at the Buffyverse's moral absolutism, or if I just thought someone should. The mental image of the frolicking trio on the I just want to play on my pan pipes line was awfully clear...
