iuliamentis and helaaspindakaas's couch, using Iulia's computer to check in with LJ since my computer did not want to cooperate with their network and Iulia is still sleeping. Brandon apparently left for work sometime before I woke up.
All of my stuff is out of the old apartment and the keys are handed in; everything that's going with me to Maryland is either with me right now, or in the backseat of my car, or staged on a tarp in my parents' garage. The stuff I'm not taking with me is in my parents' basement, handily dwarfing the sum total ofshaws_ghoti's possessions.
I have now seen about ten episodes of Robot Chicken.
I have discovered that, yes, seriously, you get better gas mileage doing 65 than 80-ish, and can blow past state troopers with cheerful aplomb. I did not completely freak out even once during the move-out process, and my mother cleaned my stove and emptied my fridge for me.
It will probably come as no surprise--you may not even notice the deviation from my standard MO--but I expect to be really terrible about replying to comments for about the next week, until I'm settled at the new place. But thank you, everyone, for the good wishes. So far, so good.
