Thank you, whoever gave me the anonymous rose of friendliness! I am made ridiculously happy by it.
Thank you also, O Ye Engineers of Samsung, for designing a cell phone that will not only survive a trip through the washing machine (cold/cold, colors) but not lose my stored phone numbers in the process, even after having the battery removed repeatedly to help things dry out. The display is now a little foggy, though decreasingly so all the time, which I feel just gives the phone character. And, more to the point, I don't have to go buy a new cell phone.
And finally, thank you, Terry Pratchett, for Sam Vimes.
