In my admittedly imperfect memory of Jurassic Park, the novel, which I read about twelve years ago, there are a handful of technological marvels Michael Crichton spends significant time explicating: how they made dinosaurs from rocks; the island's various containment systems; the freezer compartment cleverly concealed in a bottle of shaving cream; and the pièce de résistance, touch screen computer interfaces.
