Weird, weird dreams last night. One involving driving somewhere in Canada with my mom, in a taking-a-trip-together sense, which I suppose means that the howling mom issues and creeping anxiety over the upcoming solo road trip are dovetailing to give me weird anxiety dreams. I had one last week in which I told my mom I was taking this trip and she stole my thunder by saying she was going on a road trip, too, and she had tons and tons of candy to take with her and would only let me have one piece. So. Blrgh.
Also had a weird staving-off-the-end-of-the-world dream, which mainly involved trying to keep the Bad Guy immobilized til the cops showed up - I knew they were coming, but he didn't. Made weirder by the distinct sense, in the dream, that we'd done all of this before, but I was the only one who knew it, and I was trying to make it turn out better this time. Not lucid dreaming, exactly, but like a lucid dream within a dream.
I've started rereading the Harry Potter books in preparation for Order of the Phoenix, and... it's weird. I don't remember when exactly I last reread them, but I'm about two thirds through book one, and it's just sort of, ho hum. I'm reading it, but I'm thinking, "Y'know, I should go read Transfigurations over again," or (horrifyingly) "Y'know, I could just watch the movie..." It's very weird. I'm hoping it doesn't happen while I'm reading books three and four (Azkaban was always my favorite), but I don't know if I'll make it through #2 at this rate.
Men with Brooms, however, is still exactly as funny as it was the first time. Maybe funnier. I watched it with #3 brother (my current favorite) and best friend's boyfriend yesterday, and made it almost to the end of the movie without mentioning the slashability. And I didn't actually bring up Cutter/Lennox at all, so. I'm sure they appreciated it.
