BTW, it does not matter at all, but I feel I should mention that Lewis is not actually smoking in that Morse episode - unfortunately one of the weaker Morse episodes, IMO.
As you can see from this other scene in 'The Dead of Jericho' (the Morse pilot) Lewis had a habit of putting his pencil stub in his mouth... he was always shown with his notebook and pencil in Morse! :D

This part shows not only baby!Lewis, a sight liable to reduce grown women into puddles of goo, but also shows Morse educating him about Oedipus Rex (which Lewis shows a surprising knowledge of in 'Allegory of Love').
It's very unfortunate that your library does not have a wider selection of Inspector Morse episodes...
