Holy GUH.

Finally got around to watching "The Deal" tonight while my computer was busy installing some Windows update or other and...

a) If we already had a Fraser-pisses-off-the-Mob-and-gets-beat-up-for-it episode, why did they have to do Good for the Soul? It was strangely kind of easier to watch this one, because I could just say "woobie" and not spend half the episode thinking Fraser deserved to get beaten for being such an idiot.

b) Fraser/Elaine. Wow. That was an actual Fraser/Elaine moment, there, and it was--good. Quiet, but--the widening of his eyes, the softness of his voice--wow. Something real, there, just for a minute--and then she draws away, like she realizes that something real with Benton Fraser is just possibly more than any sane person wants to get herself mixed up in.

c) OMGIWANTTOHAVEVECCHIO'SBABIES. Kill me now, please. If you do it while I'm rewatching him kicking Zuko's ass over and over for the rest of the night, I may not even notice.

d) Fraser. In just the bottoms of his long underwear, with his hand resting on Dief's throat while he sits on the floor reading. Good God.

*rewind*

c) OMGIWANTTOHAVEVECCHIO'SBABIES. Kill me now, please...

ETA: How could I forget to mention that Gardino is canonically a friend of Dorothy? This, combined with that crack about a family of meat packers in You Must Remember This, makes Kowalski/Gardino practically canon. Seriously. I'm changing the icon and everything.
