gritkitty remarked, Chase's Thing about fat people really borders on - or maybe, y'know, invades by blitzkrieg, banners flying - the pathological. It certainly felt to me like I was waiting for the reveal that was going to make his obsessive behavior make sense; if you compare to his Thing about alcoholism in 1x06, which was leading up to the fact that his mom drank herself to death and still wasn't this blatant and aggressive, you get an idea of the scale.

So when Chase had a thing about drinking, it was really a thing about his mom.

This week, Chase has a thing about fatness, and when I look around the cast, I see one fat guy with a connection to Chase. The places my brain goes thereafter... euugh.
