GIPs! and looking up.
Two lovely lovely new Numb3rs icons by the wonderful
And that's not the only good thing about the last twenty-four hours.
a) I think I've found a place to live, like, for serious. Still a few logistical hurdles to deal with, but if I can work it, it should be awesome.
*knocks wood*
b) I FINALLY saw last week's Numb3rs episode, Noisy Edge.
OMG SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
"I love that about you," and Charlie's startled, "What?" And! Charlie HANGING OUT IN DON'S OFFICE, just - both of them obviously there together after the ends of their standard workdays, crunching through every case file Don could find, on the OFF CHANCE that one of them will involve math in SOME WAY. Because they love working together just that much!
"Now, here's where I get reductive on your ass." Larry! Believes in aliens! Maybe! And grudgingly accedes to national security!
Charlie and Amita were cute! Not as cute as Don and Charlie, but, like the open thread said, a fuck of a lot cuter than, say, House and Cameron. And Charlie! "Oh, don't tell me I've spent two years working with you in combinatorics and now you're going to leave me for--physics."
Don had his sleeves rolled up for, like, THE WHOLE EPISODE. And that brown shirt he was wearing in the second half? YUM. Kind of fun and weird to not see him draw his gun for a whole ep, just doing the investigating and dealing-with-people part of his job - though we did still get the frantic radio-conversation with Charlie. Also, Don showing up at Charlie's office when Charlie's no longer hanging out at his, because, hi, he still wants to work with Charlie even when there's no logical reason to do so anymore.
I wonder, actually... he's very quick to see that Alan needs to play golf with Charlie, because it's a way Alan can relate to Charlie and be better at him than something - I wonder how conscious Don is that he's doing the very same thing with Charlie? That working with Charlie in the FBI lets Don be the expert and Charlie the tagalong. Huh.
(Although, um, let me just say, in California? In the nice warm springtime? I'd think at least the junkyard dog would have noticed the dead guy before two days had elapsed. Just. Saying.)
*ahem*
...and that really put me into a happy frame of mind to go off to
c) Write Club. Which this week was more, like, "Do something entertaining on your computer and occasionally tell the others about it" club. In my case, I spent pretty much the entire time watching vids. It started when I discovered a couple of randomly misplaced Stargate vids in my "pretties" picture folder (not that Daniel's not pretty, just in this instance he's more properly filed under "unshared video") and one of them was the utterly hilarious vid that, um, somebody did to Semisonic's "Bed." Not just hysterically funny, but actually made me go "Oh, hm, that's an interesting Jack/Daniel dynamic..."
And then
So I got to see a number of wonderful vids by
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I got nailed with a dirtyhot random Numb3rs bunny, thus bringing my evening full circle and leaving me a happy girl.
Moral of the story: hot guys and decent housing make everything better.
