Things I have learned in the past twenty-four hours:

1. Courtesy of a bumper sticker, somewhere in New Jersey: BOIBERIK LIVES!

2. New Jersey has mountains. Or at least very high hills. (I was thinking that this can probably be generalized to: everywhere outside the glacial plain is bumpier than a Midwesterner expects it to be.)

3. Doing the speed limit is nice, in a zen sort of way.

4. estrella30 is right: there is really no reason for Connecticut to exist. Except to make people driving through on the freeway INSANE.

5. When brooklinegirl says she can't cook? SHE MEANS IT. (Cooking Tip from Dira: Defrost all the ingredients before you start cooking. And maybe make sure you have all the ingredients.)

6. My little brother, shaws_ghoti... Man, he is totally related to me. In the comical head injury kind of way. There are even illustrations!

One thing I did not learn in the past twenty-four hours: How to pronounce Piscataway. Not that it's still bothering me, or anything.
