So, last night I managed, somehow, to resist watching Memento over again (soon, though, and I'll probably end up taking notes, and wanting to talk the whole movie over again, and best friend's boyfriend will probably stab me in the head, or, alternately, take to locking his bedroom door...)
Instead, I watched some more Due South: "Easy Money," this time. And. Awww! Quinn, and Fraser, and guiding each other and letting each other make horrible awful mistakes. Plus, wow, Fraser's thirty-*what* and he can still say that shooting a caribou was one of the biggest mistakes of his life? I'm impressed. Or maybe I'm not grasping the seriousness of the caribou-shooting. Probably both.
And Ray! With the referring to his father as though he were dead, and that whole long shot of his face as he's walking over to his parents: happy, scared, confused, trying to hide it, trying to hide everything...
Plus, dunno why, loved the Bulls t-shirt.
And, of course, 'You shoot anybody I will kill you myself.' So matter of fact, no histrionics, no jumping up and down on that threat, just. He'd have killed the guy himself. And I think he *would*, though I don't think the idiot hostage-taker was quite clear on that.
I quite liked this one, and I'm really looking forward to the next few.
