I'm home!

helaaspindakaas are married! I just took an unscheduled middle-of-the-day four-hour nap and have to do a take-home midterm in the next couple of hours and have very little functioning brain capacity, so I will just list ~~a few~~ several weekend highlights:

Night-before-the-wedding bowling! With Iulia decked out in fairmer's wedding veil! We would have stayed in, but the pay-per-view porn options were HIGHLY unsatisfactory.

Middle-of-wedding-day run to Wendy's with the groom, wearing jeans and a flannel shirt with my hair in a fancy updo.

Being genuine bridal attendants - getting Iulia dressed was a four-way team effort.

Butt-wiggling wedding photographer.

HOLY CRAP WEDDING at which I did not cry, trip, drop anything, or lose the groom's ring, and all assembled realized what GINORMOUS GEEKS Iulia and Brandon are: the reading was from Microserfs.

My entire immediate family was in attendance and I got to see all of them in one place for the first time in months (including Brother #3's impressive new tattoo!)

I made a speech and did not die! And sounded articulate without having been betaed by iuliamentis!

My little brother jumping to his feet in the middle of dinner to announce to the room at large that THE TIGERS ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!

BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Don't tell the groom, but I was totally the first person to get Iulia out of (and back into, after she'd dashed to the bathroom) her wedding dress.

PARAMEDICS! But we are told Iulia's great-uncle will be fine.

Rescuing Iulia from Scary Drunk Wedding Guest! And, eventually, the safe departure of Scary Drunk Wedding Guest, escorted by the house manager and four or five of Iulia's male relatives.

The unforgettable sight of Iulia's uncle dipping and twirling Iulia's father on the dance floor.

And now I am home and totally working on my midterm. Yes. Right.
