iuliamentis and helaasindakaas's lovely new couch, stealing somebody's wireless, to say a) hi! I'm still not dead! despite having to get up at four in the morning yesterday to get on the train to come out here, and I am almost caught up on my friends list and I love you all (and I also love John and Aeryn very much, and also Bond)
and, b) look! Yuletide recs! This is just the list of what I remembered to write down while binge-reading on Christmas morning, as I haven't had a chance to read anything since then:
Under Wing - Batman Begins - In which Bruce knows he can never have enough father figures.
The Beginnings of All Things Are Small - Batman Begins - Ever since I first saw the movie, I've been wanting this Batman to get his Robin. And here he is.
Learning and Labor - Caroline Stevermer - College of Magics series (Scholar of Magics) - Jane and Samuel, workfully ever after.
A Clock, Ticking - Equilibrium - This story does what I thought could not be done for Preston, and makes me ridiculously happy in the process.
Night Terror - Invisible Man - In which Darien can't sleep.
In Medias Res - Kate Ross - Julian Kestrel series - Julian is in the middle of things, as usual.
Afternoon's Liberty - Naomi Novik - Temeraire series - Emily's liberty with Jane, at Dover.
Wedding Balls - Penny Arcade - Gabe and Tycho get married!
Happiness is Fleeting - Penny Arcade - Gabe and Tycho do unspeakable things. (Also, apparently this year's other PA OTP is Div/Fruit Fucker. Who knew?)
