In the further adventures of things no one warned me about...
OMG SQUEE! SQUEE!
I just watched "Wasted" and "Risk" and "Stuck to You" and, HOLY GOD THE SQUEE.
So first there was Flack (whose name I most frequently spell FLAAAAAAAACK) sitting at his crummy little bullpen desk, scribbling away left-handed on his paperwork until the crazy dude walks up, asks his name, and PULLS A GUN. And I really totally had the OMG OMG OMG NO FLAAAAACK moment before he dropped it on Flack's desk and raised his hands, and I love that Flack did too, but--because Flack is our straight-up hard-nosed COP--stayed totally cool and on task for as long as he had to. And I love that through the rest of the episode, though he's never really saying or doing anything overt, he's just--in the guy's vicinity being cool and calm and quiet and also a pretty pretty blue-eyed WOOBIE who didn't get shot in the head today because he just lucked out.
And THEN. Danny riding home from an 18-hour shift right at the front of the train so he can watch where they're GOING and spotting a BODY on the tracks and TOTALLY succeeding in stopping the train in time because he is AWESOME--and then MAC! shows up in his TUX! and LINDSAY! shows up in her prettypretty gown! And Danny is just still the adorablest ever. And when it's FINALLY all over he's talking to Mac on his way home! Because! I don't even know why except that they want me to DIE OF LOVE, apparently.
AND THEN THEN! HOLY JESUS. MAC. PLAYING THE GUITAR. PEOPLE, I CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH. I seriously had my hands over my face because I was afraid it was going to turn on a dime into horrendous embarrassing-ness, but it was PERFECT and Danny, wearing his (omg so hot) overcoat and his little FACE, SHINING, and he can't take his EYES off MAC, and just. *HEART*
*koffs*
So if there was, uh, fic? Dealing with any of these weighty issues? I would love to see it. But I haven't seen past 2x14, "Stuck on You," so please please don't spoil me past that.
