Numb3rs yay!

I have a variety pack of fandom-love here!

Firstly, because it is on my to-do list in CAPITAL LETTERS, I must rec you all a fabulous Don/Charlie story by [livejournal.com profile] niqaeli! Five Things Don and Charlie Never Talk About is short, concentrated essence of Don/Charlie. It's non-explicit, but it packs a serious punch. If you have ever felt any love in your heart for Don/Charlie, seriously, go read.

Also, this year's [livejournal.com profile] numb3rs_awards winners have been announced, and, squeee! I am 2007's Outstanding Author in slash! And Brothelers won as favorite slash AU, and Crossing the Line won for favorite episode-related slash story, and squeeeee! Thank you, everyone who voted, and congratulations to all the winners! And furthermore, YAY, because I know I haven't read some of these stories, so more things to reeeeead!

Furthermore, the David/Colby community formerly known as davidxcolby_luv is now under new management (me!) with a new name ([livejournal.com profile] wolf_tickets!) and you should all join up and join in the David/Colby squee! Because, come on! David/Colby! [livejournal.com profile] wolf_tickets! YAY!

Finally--I am a lame, sad Numb3rs fan and up to today had not watched a new episode since, er. February. But today I watched ep 2x18, "Democracy," with Charlie's feral genius boyfriend and Don's prosecutor boyfriend and yay!

It, um, just occurred to me this second that Amita kind of totally dropped off the earth for this ep, didn't she? But I guess she just would've gotten jealous of Charlie being in looooooove with Oswald, otherwise. I mean--seriously, are the Eppeses adopting Oswald? Is he actually marrying into the family? Because that is honestly what all of Don and Alan's "Oh God, another one, we're going to be outnumbered" mutterings sounded like.

Meanwhile, of course, Prosecutor Jeremy Bailey (Howard? is that his name now?) was also back, to help Don and Charlie take down HAYWOOD from The Shawshank Redemption, who clearly did not learn any lessons from that time that Gil and Co. caught him committing a double homicide in Vegas. Tsk tsk, dude, and also stop being so creepy, you are going to make your character in Shawshank retroactively a lot less endearing.

Also, the whole scene with Don and his towel resisting moving home even though that is OBVIOUSLY what he should do, and then being quietly freaked out but understanding of Charlie getting jaded just like him = ♥ ♥ ♥ Excellent deployment of Papa Eppes (although I was kind of distracted by how his one pupil seemed to be not reactive to light--is it always like that, or had Alan just suffered a head injury?) and brotherly squeeeee, as was the first scene at the morgue. Don and Charlie are more alike all the time, and clearly what this means is that they need to have a lot of sex. To, um, prove that they can still get worked up about something. yes!

And speaking of people who need to have sex: David and Colby. There was a car bomb! Colby was unpleasantly reminded of Afghanistan! And as we know, the solution to Colby being unpleasantly reminded of the war is to get drunk with David and then have a whole bunch of sex. Yes. Porn for everyone!

...except Megan, because she is off to the elevator of isolation an undisclosed location to have her baby do sooper-cool offer-she-can't-refuse work far away from her beloved team! *snif*
