Brooklinegirl and fannish glee (obviously these two things go together)

I met [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl at my very first ConneXions (not the infamous one, the one before the infamous one), spent practically that entire weekend with her, and have adored her ever since. Even though I've moved on from Due South, I still click on her posts about it, because her enthusiasm and love and squee are just that contagious (yes, like malaria). I adore her, and yet I am forgetful, so this is all I've got for Paul Gross Arms Day:

\o/

Happy Birthday, Tracey!

...but this got me to thinking about that one time during rush hour on the train when I did Paul Gross Arms (full-on, sincere, totally unironic and spontaneous, on the train, during rush hour--hi, don't you wish you commuted with me?) because a song popped up on my iPod and I realized it was THE SONG for the characters and story I was working on.

And that reminded me of yesterday in the car, when "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" came on, and it made me stupidly happy because, hey, that's [livejournal.com profile] barkley's Jack/Teal'c song!

And that reminded me of the fact that two or three times a day I am randomly reminded of the smile lines around Don Eppes's eyes, or the moment when Ray Kowalski pulls up his t-shirt to show the bullet proof vest, or, okay yes, the fact that apparently Gerard Way SAVES LIVES--and then wherever I am, I find myself grinning like a maniac. Fannish glee, baby!

I can't be the only person who does this (in fact, I know I'm not! Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] bayleaf!), so I'm asking you: what was your last/favorite/hardest-to-explain-to-innocent-bystanders random moment of fannish glee? Share! Do it for meeee on a boring Thursday the lulz! [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl's birthday!
