As someone a trifle oversocialized might put it.
My cell phone appears to be lost and/or stolen (emptied bag; went back to work and searched there including checking with two different lost-and-founds and calling my cell number from my desk; went back to the Burger King where I ate lunch today and first noticed it missing and checked with them; searched my car repeatedly; searched my entire apartment and had the downstairs neighbors (with whom I am having dinner tonight, as Mrs. Downstairs Neighbor came up and invited me while I was typing this) call it, all to no avail).
Somewhat ironically, I got the mail-in rebate check for that phone today. Which... I suppose will defray the cost of buying the damn thing over again, as I elected not to pay the eight dollars a month for replacement insurance, aren't I clever.
