Just back from a weekend with my family and having a day off to recover/prepare for my mother to visit for a couple of days. I, er, don't think I've ever had my mother actually visit just me for an extended period of time. I... need to do laundry.

I'm not even going to address the problem of the fridge magnets. It's not like she doesn't know.

Anyway. This is mostly just to say, at some point while trying to catch up on my circle and flist, I gave up and started skimming--tell me if anything exciting happened?

ETA: OH. The thing I actually wanted to say: is anyone else not getting comment notifications from Dreamwidth? Because I seem not to be (though they still appear in my Inbox on the site, so I am not totally without clue).

Aha! Your comment reminded me to check my spam filter, which sure enough had caught the notification for your comment--which reminded me that at some point yahoo had started filtering LJ emails, too, and I had to put the address in my address book, so. Tada! Problem solved!

And, uh, the magnets have mostly been purchased at slash cons, so they're promo photos and screencaps of assorted hot guys/pairings/groupings. A couple of the Queer as Folk ones are pretty prominently displayed. But, as I said, she knows, so... whatever. :)

Awesome! Yes, I stopped mom-proofing my house a while ago, too. It was good for our relationship and significantly cut down on awkward question-asking.
