I made a poll earlier, which (I hope) I posted only to Dreamwidth because it seemed at the time like crossposting and editing to point people to the poll and etc. etc. was a heroic task completely beyond me--

Anyway! I posted a poll, asking what I should watch while lying in my sickbed, and the poll was extremely helpful because I watched results come in and said, "Why is everyone telling me to watch LEVERAGE? I WANT THEM TO VOTE FOR CASTLE."

So then I downloaded some Castle and piled a lot more blankets on my bed because I couldn't stop shivering and apparently my temperature was 99.8, and then I watched the first episode and ♥ ♥ ♥. Hopefully not just because of the fever.

And now I will eat some dinner and wait very very patiently for the internet fairies to bring me some more.

WORK FASTER, INTERNET FAIRIES.

I mean, I'm sure Leverage is awesome and I'm totally going to watch it at some point! But Castle!

I started watching Castle two days ago and I'm eight episodes in and you are right: the correct response is <3333333

It's just: funny! clever! awesome female characters, and also awesome male characters! people who respect each other but still tease each other in hilarious ways! and it's full of good old fashioned detective stories! (Also Captain Tightpants and Detective Hotass who also has eye makeup I covet.)

And the BEST thing about Castle is all that fic Dira wrote! (I'm a believer in the power of positive thinking, okay?)

Oh, Castle is awesomely fun! The mysteries are a bit silly, but the characters are wonderful. Plus it has some great fannish in-jokes as the show progresses.

The best thing about Castle (and there are many good things) is that the second season is as good if not better than the first.

(Using my Alec icon, because I'm positive he nabs Castle in addition to Dr. Who.)

Oh man he's a good daaaaaaaaad. And son! And oh my god every time Beckett is ROCKING OUT doing her job and they show his lips twitching like he WANTS to jump in but he DOESN'T, he just sits back and WATCHES HER BE COMPLETELY AWESOME. <33333333333333
