The rewatching continues
Two things, and I can't remember the first one.
2) I would really like some post-"Doomsday" Jackie/Pete fic. (Or intra-"Doomsday", I guess, with the tag. Anyway.) Jackie/Pete, is what I'm saying. I mean, honestly, how did THAT work out?
...Crap, now I want Jackie/Pete with background Mickey/Jake and Jackie and Mickey commiserating about the weirdness of replacing your dead doppelganger.
If by any chance this fic already exists, somebody point me at it? Please?
OH! Now I remember the first thing.
1) I think this is a vaguely unpopular opinion but I sort of love "Fear Her" in the way where the ending kind of makes me cry every time I watch it. And I really, really want David Tennant to carry the torch in 2012. (I feel like actually being the one to light the Flame is a bit much, but I want him to carry the torch.) Actually, after plotting this out in very nearly fic-like detail to Iulia the other night, what I really want is a (very short, they're not athletes, that's not the point) eight-man relay of the living Doctor-actors. Actually, physically handing off a torch to one another. I want to actually see Paul McGann right there as the bridge between Slyvester McCoy and Christopher Eccleston. And then, right, the companion-actresses and actors could be alongside and--yeah, that's where I became conscious of exactly how insane it was, and still.
Words cannot express how happy that would make me. And I have half convinced myself now that it could happen. I am an Olympic torch relay tinhat.

It's a little on the nose, isn't it? :-) A nice idea, though, definitely. Especially if they could manage to get Tom Baker to do it.
