three questions for the internet

1) Wasn't there a chart somewhere that plotted fic quality versus fic enjoyability to explain the appeal of idfic? Does anybody know where that is?

2) I have somehow, now, for no very good reason, fallen into Sherlock Holmes fandom and am longing for Holmes/Watson fic. By which I mean porn. By which I mean kinky top!Holmes/bottom!Watson. ETA: come to think of it, the other way around works just as well, especially movie!verse. /ETA Recs plz? I have been reading my way through everything of Katie's, so movie vs. book canon appears to be no particular obstacle. And have read damned_colonial and toft's respective kink_bingo oeuvres, but surely there is MORE somewhere?

3) WHY IS IT NOT SATURDAY YET?

I am confident I've read Holmes/Watson by astolat. Likewise that there is Holmes/Watson in the Yuletide archive. Some overlap, natch, but nothing like 100%.

Basically fic that expresses all those dark, unfiltered things in your id, without your superego stepping in and going "um, are you sure you want the world to know that you have all that stuff seething around in your head?" and making you all self-conscious and embarrassed by it.

So last night I wound up on the shkinkmeme IM chat group and someone recced this consensual gangbang fic with slutty bottom Watson and Holmes watching from the sidelines and omg. Um. Yeah. Totally id-riffic and then it very sneakily wound up being really rather good and quite tender and ummm I actually teared up a little at the end. Wtf. Anyway! There's a rec for you. It's in 24 parts, no less!
