So I am over here having a little SG-1 renaissance and I have a question:

I have this recollection of some sort of incident involving Jack and Daniel grappling for a weapon--Daniel having been about to Do Something Stupid with it, I think--in like a darkened supply closet? Or other dimly lit space somewhere in the SGC? It's a visual impression and I don't usually visualize fic very distinctly, but iulia doesn't remember such a scene at all, and it doesn't fit in with anything I recall making up. Maybe it wasn't Daniel and Jack? But I seem to have it filed under OH DANIEL WOOBIE in my brain.

Help?

...While I'm at it, has Daniel ever canonically demonstrated any kind of self-destructive tendencies apart from the balcony scene in The Light?

Is it the scene from the episode where Daniel's gotten addicted to the sarcophagus? I think it ends in a supply closet, with Daniel sobbing. Ummm, google tells em that it's 2.05, Need.

The grappling for the weapon in the supply closet was NEEDS.

And no -- Daniel doesn't do anything that obviously self-destructive except for the Light.

Unless you count all the times he recklessly puts himself and others in harm's way for the greater good, of course.
