Oh.

That's how Fraser found out about Maggie.

Well, that's what I get for waiting so long to watch the last few episodes. I, um, have some rewriting to do now. Silly me.

Incidentally, does anyone think it's odd that Maggie is the name of a) the girl-dog Dief knocked up and b) Fraser's sister? Way to reuse names appropriately, writers... (Although, given what little I know of the dog!maggie storyline, it'd be entertaining to think that Dief's protectiveness of mountie!maggie was actually some sort of carryover due to the name...)

Also watched "Say Amen" tonight, and was sort of entertained by the (H)eloise and (Davey) Abelard thing. I had to read the letters of Heloise and Abelard last year for a Medieval history class, and there sort of *are* parallels; Heloise was shut up in a convent (er, after she and Abelard had been discovered in flagrante delicto, got married secretly, and she got pregnant - she decided she was a danger to his religious career - also, their poor kid was named Astralabe) when they were writing their letters.

Obviously the fact that they weren't her parents was the payoff for Frannie's "What kind of parents would keep their kid locked away in a church all her life and never let her go to school?" but for a second, looking at Fraser's face, I wondered just how much school he went to, and how different being stuck in a traveling library was from a church. (I know, he at least went to Grade Four and scouts, but go with me. He looked all sad and lonely.)

Also also watched "Dead Guys Don't Throw Rice."

"Ray from the material world..." ::giggle:: Plus, Dief's-eye-view giant-forehead!ray.
