I was rereading your fic last night, and wondering how easy it would be to swap out Oliver for Arkady, to get rid of what's apparently going to be the only dissonance between the fic and the book.

But Arcady's first name and nickname are a medium-large plot point: Aral doesn't know his mother named him after the holo character, so Arcady learns that Aral was coming into this equally as blind and vulnerable. It's a really important moment!

I know. Can't the holovid character's name get changed, too? I admit Oliver's not exactly the first name I think of for a TV hero...

No. Arkady is not Oliver. It's an alternate universe.
