You know how sometimes your dash Does A Thing, putting two posts next to each other that add up to something else?

The contrast between the evening Chris Evans is having (watching the Pats win the Super Bowl) and the evening Sebastian Stan is having (posting a photo of protests against the authoritarian government of his native Romania) are… really striking. 

(I don’t have a pithy conclusion to draw from it, just–aw, these two dudes who I am irrationally emotionally invested in for the same reason, having very, very different evenings tonight.)

Admittedly I'm not that informed aboout Romanian politics, but wasn't the thing Romanians protested a corruption amnesty law that's been introduced? I had not heard that the Romanian social-democrat coalition they elected last year had implemented any authoritarian stuff like the conservatives in Poland or Hungary, "just" the corruption stuff. Partly I think because the conservative president from the opposition had rejected their first choice of prime minister saying he would not ask any body with legal trouble to form a government. So they had to go with different personnel iirc.

I mean it's somewhat appalling and a really transparent self-service considering their party leader is accused of corruption damage just below the newly proposed threshold of about 44000€, but considering the usual corruption damage you see in the news he doesn't seem to be in the big leagues.

I want a better term for this kind of juxtaposition than "My dash did the thing," which is the only term I know for it. It's happened to me, too.
