Still writing! Still very intermittently here on DW!

I've been reading more or less faithfully but am still wildly out of the habit of actually posting over here; Tumblr and Discord have somehow ended up being where my fannish centers of activity are these days, and both are pretty firmly planted.

But! Keeping up on my reading page here at DW means seeing the [community profile] fan_flashworks challenges, and the current one clicked in my brain, so instead of working on the either my Yuletide story (due in 13 days!) or my Dreamling exchange story (due in 7 days!) or the last chapter of the Witcher WIP I'm attempting to post weekly (should post in 11 days!) I spent basically all of yesterday writing a Dreamling flashfic:

Title: The Weather Outside Is Frightful
Fandom: The Sandman (TV 2022)
Pairing: Dream of the Endless | Morpheus/Hob Gadling
Rating: Teen
Length: 3400 words
Content notes: Emotional hurt/comfort, Panic Attack, PTSD, Dream of the Endless Is Not Okay, Cuddles & Snuggles
Author notes: Thanks to everyone in the discord who encouraged this!

Summary: In the Dreaming, the mood of the King of Dreams and Nightmares determines the weather. In the waking world, the same process occasionally works in reverse.

( The Weather Outside is Frightful ) (despite the title, not a Christmas or even winter story, it was just irresistibly apt.)

This is my eighth Sandman fic posted in the last two months, so hooray new fandom energy! :D

I also won at NaNoWriMo with my annual "idk, try to write a lot of fic" novel entry, though for variety I actually also did start a brand new novel-length fic on November 1, a Dreamling apocalypse AU (technically a Reign of Fire fusion) which I got 34,000-ish words into and at this point looks fair to run 120K or so total, so... that's definitely on the back burner until I finish the stuff with deadlines which, of course, cause my mind to go utterly blank every time I look at them lately, so that's all pretty much par for the course!
