Wings won! In DOUBLE OVERTIME in the FIRST GAME OF THE PLAYOFFS, but, whatever! They won! Two goals from Kirk Maltby, who had a total of five in the entire regular season, one from (former Washington Capital) Robert Lang, and 23 saves from Manny Legace, YAY WE WIN!

I mean. Just one game. We take it one game at a time. Long road ahead. Full sixty (or eighty-three) minutes every night. One day at a time. Yes.

And let us not, by any means, overlook the contribution of Tomas Holmstrom, who fell on the opposing goalie's head during the first OT, prompting the following observation on an Edmonton fan's blog:
