...has anybody ever read A Fire Upon the Deep? And liked it? I'm anticipating (re)reading it soon, and I want some kind of reason to believe that I won't hate it this time.
I read it back when it first came out. I don't recall either understanding it very much, nor enjoying it very much. Certainly I never sought out the sequel, nor any other Vinge.
