Continuing adventures in being a few years behind the curve

So, hey, after all my many insistences that I just do not listen well enough to enjoy podfic or podcasts, it turns out that I actually kind of enjoy running (very slowly) while people talk about geeky/fannish stuff in my ears.

(Podfic turns out to be a little problematic for running purposes because I get involved in the story and can't wait until the next time I go running for more of it and then whoops I just spent all my free time for a few days rereading Stealing Harry and it's not even time for my biannual occasion of falling down the well and losing a week to HP fic. And I'm still not sure how I would do with podfic of a story I'm not already familiar with, because I do tend to zone out and miss bits.)

Anyway, so: rec me podcasts? I already have SF Squeecast and Writing Excuses, but I know there are some slash-specific fancasts? Or used to be, at least, have they trailed off? Anyway, please rec me things!

YOu're looking for Slash Report, I think, which is hilarious.

Definitely Slash Report, as noted above. They've just wound up their second season. It's like being at a room party at a slash con.

Someone recc'd a Leverage podcast on your LJ. That'd be The Leverage 10, which is official and features John Rogers, Chris Downey, various writers/production staff, and sometimes cast members. For a fannish take, try The Long Con. Both are available on iTunes.

Made of Fail is a long-running fan-oriented podcast that ranges from tv/movies to comics to video games and more. The Twilight-centric reviews, featuring Cleolinda Jones, are not to be missed. (iTunes)

I've got a soft spot for I Hate/Love Remakes, which looks at (surprise!) movies that have been remade, with in-depth reviews of both (or more, sometimes) versions. They've covered everything from Psycho to Godzilla to Ocean's 11 to One Missed Call to Charade to Miracle on 34th Street -- I love the range.

Galactic Watercooler, maybe? I gave up on them because I like shorter podcasts, and it's always at least an hour and usually longer. It's not fanfic/slash stuff, just general SF/F movies and TV and games. But they are contagiously enthusiastic, even about things I have no interest in at all. The 'Growing Up Geek' arc was very sweet: long, long rants about the coolness of remote control planes and model cars.

As far as geeky podcasts, I adore Judge John Hodgman.

Bitch magazine has a podcast called Bitch Radio and NPR's popculture blog Monkey See has a podcast as well. They vary a bit in length, but I find them enjoyable. (Although, I think I prefer the NPR one.) Both should be on iTunes, pretty sure that's how I found 'em.
