WINNING!
So the main thing is, I won NaNoWriMo! I wrote 50,000 (actually 51,352) words of underage Teen Wolf hookerfic in 30 days! Good job me!
The story now stands at 103,524 words and... is not done. But I have reached the beginning of the end! And I figured out a thing so I was able to drop a whole sequence from the end, so I only have... five bullet points left! And three of those are probably a single monstrous continuous POV scene! I AM GOING TO FINISH THIS STORY AT SOME POINT. IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. SOONISH.
Ahem. So! I won NaNo! And wrote 22,000 other words of fic on top of that! November was an unparalleled success!
I mean, okay, I also got into a car accident on Thanksgiving, on my way to my parents' house for dinner, which rather derailed my family's Thanksgiving plans, but no one was hurt, my insurance deductible fits on my credit card, and dinner was three hours late but not otherwise ruined. So that worked out a lot better than it could have.
Also I haven't started my Yuletide fic, or even canon review, yet, and holy shit it's December so there are less than three weeks left to deadline, but that's okay. I HAVE A PLAN.
So, uh, given the above I am unlikely to succeed at any kind of daily posting in December, but if you want to drop a question or post-prompt in the comments, feel free! Or just stop by and say hi--it's exciting to see so many new posts on my flist again! :D

I can't wait to be DONE with it. I just the other day found some emails where I was flailing about the idea, the first week I got into Teen Wolf. WHICH WAS AUGUST OF 2012. So yeah. :D

(And omg your icon reminds me--did you hear about Mars?!??!?!)

IS THERE LIFE ON MARS?

THERE WILL BE IN ABOUT TWENTY YEARS WHEN THE ORION GETS THERE. :D :D :D http://www.nasa.gov/exploration/systems/mpcv/index.html#.VH5P-2dWU3U

I DID SEE THAT, BUT APPARENTLY NOT ALL OF THAT, because I just registered "oh cool unmanned spacecraft going into the sky" and not FUTURE PEOPLE ON MARS.
You know where I really want us to go? EURORA. LET US ATTEMPT LANDINGS THERE. OR AT LEAST GET INTO ORBIT AND TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES. BECAUSE IF THERE'S LIFE ANYWHERE, IT'S ON FUCKING EUROPA.
(But would we recognize life if we saw it?)

They're actually planning an asteroid mission before Mars, so surely Europa should be next after Mars! Or maybe we should let Europa alone and not stick our grubby fingers all over whatever's living there...

We don't need to land! Just, you know, stand there creepily and take a bunch of pictures and radar stuff and all. With love.
Also, I know it's not a theory with much/any weight anymore, but I insist on believing that the asteroid belt is from a lost, destroyed planet. :P

Also, HUZZAH FOR YOU AND ALL THE WORDS! :D

Thank you! :D

Yes! Any one you walk away from, as they say, and everybody was a-okay so I can't really complain.

If I wasn't still mired in working out getting my car fixed, it would totally make up for the car accident. It's definitely a great distraction when I start thinking about how the accident could have gone worse....

2) So glad you're safe.
3) I'm always happy to beta, though I am sure you've got a slate of folks lined up—just thought I'd offer!
4) If you wanted to talk about why you chose to go to library school, I'd love to hear about that, even if unofficially. I was thinking about that today on the subway (no idea why, don't ask *g*) and realizing that even if you ever told me, I've forgotten.
5) HUGS!

I will let you know if I need to add you to the beta lineup, and thank you so much for offering!
Oooh, I can totally talk about library school. I remember that decision-making process pretty well, I think. :)

Congratulations on the NaNoWriMo!
I am almost needing to look at my Yuletide fic. I have a couple hundred words written, which keeps me from full panic mode. Good luck!!
I shall have to muse on a prompt!

I've officially begun canon review today, and I totally almost know what the first line is, so my Yuletide story is practically half written, really. Right? :D? And, oh man, I am getting into the really exciting ending parts of my Nano fic, finally. SO EXCITING. SO CLOSE TO FINISHING. @__@ And ahaha well at least, a week later, my car is finally at the repair shop after its long weird not-getting-towed-from-the-tow-lot adventure, so... progress.
