Merry Ficmas!
My family isn't celebrating Christmas until tomorrow, due to my brothers' assorted in-law plans and travel schedules, so I get a blissfully quiet Christmas Day at home to read Yuletide and Dreamling Secret Santa fic until I pass out on the couch. :D
I have multiple gifts this year!
For Yuletide: The Grief of Knives (The Goblin Emperor series, Thara Celehar/Iäna Pel-Thenhior, 2k) a lovely little story with the people closest to Thara offering him as much comfort as he can accept in the aftermath of The Grief of Stones.
For Dreamling Secret Santa: The Christmas Invasion (Hob Gadling dreams of Christmas) (The Sandman, Dream/Hob, TWENTY K) in which Dream has temporarily lost his memory and Lucienne asks Hob to look after him so he doesn't get into trouble in the Dreaming--and also it's a few days before Christmas. Fluffy cuteness, sexiness, Dream accidentally discovering several of his powers, this fic covers all sorts of ground. :D
ALSO for Dreamling Secret Santa (I think from one of the organizers? Everyone got a bonus short story!): Anchor & Anchored (The Sandman, Dream/Hob, 1k) in which Hob gets to be in charge--mostly--of some surreal Dreaming sex. :D
