In the continuing adventures of Trying to Watch Call of the Wild:
Tuesday, 3pm - Pay US$26.50 to ship defective CotW tape back to amazon.ca
Five minutes later - Realize that buying a new copy of the tape would have cost less, but feel v.v. stupid and write it off as a learning experience.
Wednesday, 9am - Receive customer service email from amazon.ca saying that due to the prohibitive cost of shipping, I don't need to return the defective tape. Feel really REALLY stupid.
Wednesday, 9pm - Receive email from amazon.ca saying they have shipped my new copy of Due South "The Pilot", and I should receive it within the week. Sigh. Email customer service guy, complete with half-joking question about being comped for the shipping charges, since am now beyond the stupidness threshhold and into the land of maybe-they'll-give-me-store-credit.
