grandson of drabble
Another boring day at work, and the post with the requests is about to fall off the end of my recent entries page, so: more drabbles!
For
mrsronweasley, who was so kind as to not request a hundred words of Those Pirates You Told Me About.

Raymond had been keeping a careful eye on the monkey, but he still wasn't prepared for the moment when it leapt onto his head. He froze, letting out an undignified sound of surprise, and the pirate captain turned toward him, that same cheerful smile sparkling in his one blue eye. "Ah, you've met Walpole!"
The monkey was still on his head; he could feel its little paws in his hair, occasionally tugging. "Fraser, what is he doing?"
"Ah," Fraser said, his lips pursing into something like disapproval. "Well, that brig wasn't very sanitary, Mr. Stanley. He's only trying to help."
shnaucl wanted Present day Don/Charlie, Charlie stuck in a tree.
Numb3rs: Treed
Don stared up at his little brother, who was wavering between looking slightly scared and really irritated. "You're serious."
"I'm serious," Charlie said. He sounded serious.
"So where's this cat now?"
"In a quantum state combining I don't know and I don't care, Don. The point is, I'm stuck in this tree."
"Search and rescue isn't really my specialty," Don said, staring up at Charlie, already imagining telling this story tomorrow morning over paperwork.
But Charlie looked down at him and said, "I'll make it worth your while," and suddenly Don thought maybe he wouldn't be telling anyone at all.
iuliamentis has only been asking for a Dead Like Me drabble for a month now, and she is my best friend, and after all it's true...
Dead Like Me: Reapers Need Hugs
George didn't mean to. It just happened, and then the world had tilted sideways and Mason and Roxie were both staring at her with the same expression of baffled horror. It was bad when the two of them agreed on anything, and George knew she should just sit up and pretend nothing happened, but Rube's shoulder was under the side of her head, and it felt... nice.
Rube inhaled, and George braced herself for the sarcasm, but all he said was, "Tired, peanut?"
He hadn't called her peanut once since she'd told him not to. George closed her eyes. "Yeah."
qe2 asked for Johnny/Walt/Sarah, prompt line "Cornflakes are good for the soul".
Dead Zone: Pure Corn
"Because I said so."
JJ looked to Walt next, but Walt parroted loyally, "Because your mother said so."
JJ looked to Johnny last, but Johnny couldn't complain as long as JJ was looking at all. "Cornflakes," Johnny said solemnly, "are good for the soul. And contain essential vitamins."
A look came over JJ's face that would be an actual mutter of I hate you all in another year. For now he just started eating.
Johnny leaned back to find Walt and Sarah watching him. Walt said quietly, "You're a cornflake."
Somehow, all Johnny heard was you're ours.
