So I finished watching the Criminal Minds finale.

I was all set to continue in the vein of my last post about the finale.

I mean, come on, Hotch just referred to A SMALL TOWN IN SARNIA, ONTARIO. That's beyond sloppy and into ridiculous! Sarnia is a city in the province of Ontario! THERE ARE NOT SMALL TOWNS INSIDE OF SARNIA, BITCHES. How hard is that to get right? "A small town outside of Sarnia, Ontario." "The small town of Sarnia, Ontario," if you'd like to continue throwing geographic reality into the woodchipper. A SMALL TOWN IN SARNIA, ONTARIO? WHAT THE HELL?

And then.

What.

What the fuck.

HO:::::::::::::::TCH NOES.

...Also, what the hell, did that line - You should have made a deal - was that supposed to be referencing something I was supposed to remember? Because it's, er, been a good five to ten months since I watched the first three quarters of S4 and I am fucked if I remember anything that seems to apply.

But mostly: HOTCH NOOOOOOOOOOOOES.

I mean, Elle already got the get-out-of-jail-free miraculous survival play, so they're not going to go to that well again.

But. But. YOU CAN'T KILL THE MAMA, PEOPLE. HO::::::::::::::::TCH! WORRYING ABOUT HIS TEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM WITH HIS LAST FUCKING BREATH!

PS THIS CALLS FOR REID/MORGAN COMFORT SEX STAT.

Remember the killer who everyone thought was the one victim who escaped? He, previously, had made a deal with another cop that he would stop killing if the cop would stop chasing him. That cop then died, the killer started killing again, then he turned to *Hotch* and asked Hotch to make a similar bargain, and Hotch Hotchalanced him and said "NO DEAL!"

Then the killer got away thanks to arrogance and incompetence on the part of non-FBI law enforcement.

He's baaaack.

Yeah. Unpopular opinion, but... The finale made me realize I could handle any character's death *but* Hotch. I mean, not that I wouldn't mourn the others, but... With dead Hotch, I'm not sure I could watch it, you know?

I see [personal profile] grey_bard already answered that question for you.

The whole geography thing wasn't something I'd notice since I'm very much European with no geographic skills whatsoever. But I liked this episode, it felt bleak but I kinda liked the whole feel to it... I haven't read that much about Pickton but it felt like a grusome reality in there somwhere.

And I worry about Morgan as he's said it feels hopeless sometimes and that he doesn't get to have a personal life an dit's all about the crazies and they never stop.

Hotch - oh yeah, talk about a season ender. But it kinda feels like they really wouldn't kill him would they? Really? I'm not spoiled and I don't want to be but his character feels like one they can't really remove completely because it'd kill the teamdynamics and the show in one fell swoop. Or I'm just reaidng in too much of his importance...

Oh yeah, I was gonna ask if you found any lovely Reid/Morgan fics to rec? I've tagged all I found interesting in my delicious, and they aren't that many :(

But I'm not looking that hard for fic either right now so I'm not sure if I'm missing out...

Heh, I'm afraid your rant on geography while enlightening did not spoil my rewatch as much as the medical details (we are to assume that was cerebrospinal fluid that he aspirated from the back of the first victims neck yes? So he was coincidentally dying of raging meningitis what?!)

I always do wonder how people who work in other fields or live in the areas portrayed cope with the disconnect of the TV versions.
