There is something kind of fantastically meta-fannish about sitting down to watch real Blackhawks who I have read porn about while wearing my Kowalski #67 Blackhawks jersey.

That is excellently meta! Kowalski #67 is from Hawks and Hands, yes? It's been a while since I read it and I've forgotten the numbers. (Note to self: reread now that you're back into hockey.)
