Okay, so I no longer need to wonder why people write so much Hard Core Logo slash. It's because Joe/Billy isn't so much subtext as, y'know. Text. In a deeply fucked up way, which is of course the best for fic.

Also, spent 90 minutes listening to Callum Keith Rennie sound, in Midwestern American terms, virtually unaccented. Which means the RayK accent is, like, deliberately crafted to sound like that, so either a) For some reason people in Toronto think people in Chicago talk like that (maybe they do? I've only been to Chicago 4 or 5 times, I live 300 miles away, sure, maybe they do, and anyway I'm sure Canadians have lots of weird ideas about Americans, just like we have about them, although let me say none of mine were weird enough to prepare me for Men With Brooms) or b) It really is a great big inside joke to make RayK sound more Canadian than Fraser (aside from the sorry thing, of course). So. Yes.

Tonight's cool accomplishment: 700 words on Slightly Imperfect, the Counting the Days sequel. It's not exactly forward momentum, but it's a hell of a lot better than the past few weeks of absolutely nothing.
