Watched "Dr. Longball" for the first time last night, and, er. What the hell?

I mean, okay, goofy cameos from the supporting cast. Haha. Ha.

Welsh's Dad issues. Er. Okay.

Okay, naked Ray, all to the good, and Ray posing as a Canadian, which adds a whole 'nother layer of snicker-worthiness to CKR's accent.

But, dude, total failure of episode-internal continuity?

-Fraser advises Ray to keep his eye on the ball and his glove in front of him and whatever.
-Ray plays third base, somebody hits a line drive toward him, and he's chanting 'Count the seams, count the seams' and makes the catch.
-The next night, Fraser gives Ray batting practice and advises him, 'don't even try to hit the ball, just try to count the rotations of the seams as it comes toward you'.
-Ray goes up to bat, again chants 'count the seams' and hits a home run.

So, I guess Ray is clairvoyant. And maybe amnesic, since when Fraser told him to count the seams he gave no sign of having ever heard of such a thing before, though he'd apparently been doing it himself 24 hours previously. Anyone got a fanwank for this one?

Finally, finally, finally watched Memento for the first time. Y'know why? 'Cause Callum's in it. And y'know what? I laughed - almost hysterically - through all the scenes he was in. It was funny! He was so confused!

Or, uh, maybe it was just exciting to see him in a genuine American movie. Or maybe I am an irretrievable fangirl. It's this condition I have... did I tell you that already?
