Nov. 12th, 2003 12:51 pmJust finished rereading Men at Arms, and I can now definitively state that Benton Fraser and Carrot Ironfoundersson are not the same individual. Here's how you can tell.
After spending a year in the big city, Carrot is showing a new recruit the ropes:

Which differentiates Carrot from Fraser and also pretty much the entire human race, as far as I can tell. Maybe Aragorn could pull off that line with a straight face?
Also, for whatever subset of people read Pratchett and watch Carnivale: I've got Vimes in my head as Jonesy, and, disconcertingly, Sybil as Rita Sue. Mrrgh.
