Dec. 10th, 2003 11:22 amAt work - with a headache - and working on filling my stupid inflated bindery quota.
Because I tend to think about things too much, and evolve stupid metaphors to think about them with, I regard the Current Periodicals Room as a sort of field to be harvested. And this week I feel as if I'm doing slash-and-burn, pulling every last journal I can find, binding some earlier than they're meant to be, just to make this week's quota. I keep telling myself it'll all grow back--we get dozens of journals in every day--and also that I need to stop it with the agricultural analogy, but it doesn't seem to help.
