Stargate tally so far: 23 episodes in 5 days, which isn't too shabby. In fact, if we keep up this rate (and if season six isn't a giant sucking pit of misery like certain shows I could name) we might just beat the Buffy record for catching up on a new show. Loving it all to pieces, although iuliamentis and I are bracing ourselves to be devastated by the disappearance of Daniel's floppy hair.

I just have one tiny question. About vowels. Okay, so sometimes they say 'Go-ah-oold' or 'Goo-ah-oold' and sometimes just 'Goold' because it's quicker and they're in the know and therefore allowed, and people who suck say 'Go-auld' or 'Gold' and that's how we know they suck. So we know they're conscious of the phenomenon of consecutive vowels and their correct pronunciation.

So what's up with cuneiform? Come on, Daniel, two vowels in a row, you can do this!

And I suppose the larger, more glaring linguistic question, I just... shouldn't ask, huh? I'm trying not to think about it.

Okay, fandom_scruples was kind of entertaining when they were harmlessly linking all the smut writers in easy-to-find entries, but this strikes me as beyond the pale, whether they follow through or not.
