Okay, see, the thing about writing slash? About (fictitious) hockey players? Is that sometimes the real hockey players make it a little too easy. From Mitch Albom, the guy who named the Chelios-Fischer defensive pairing "Chelifish" and never emailed me back when I pointed out how that might, possibly, be misinterpreted by some small segment of his readership:


I hear Chelios laugh in the background. I ask Hull if he's going to miss his roommate.

"Well, I have a beautiful girlfriend," he says. "She'll be able to take his place."

Which, among other things, narrows down the identities of this Mike person who was once associated with Hully - it's probably either Modano or Keane. Hmmmm.

My brain has, for some reason, decided that Tuesday afternoon is a good time to try to work out the next few scenes of the hockey AU, bunnies in MFU, SH, and LA Confidential, the slash dynamics of Spy Game, and the general outlines of that original fiction thingie I've been kicking around. At the same time. It feels like it's fizzing. I think I smell smoke.

Also, I should probably be getting some, I don't know, actual work done while I'm at work. Probably.
