this is just to say:

Hey, I'm home from VividCon! And I had an excellent time and met lots of people and watched lots of vids (which came as more of a surprise than it probably should have) and, on a zoo outing with brooklinegirl and byob_kenobi met the Nicest Random Guy in Chicago. If he'd been thirty years younger and devestatingly attractive, I would know exactly what it felt like to encounter Fraser. As it is, it was pretty bizarre.

Vids turn out to be even worse than ConneXions' random assortment of squee for getting me thinking about other fandoms, possibly because you can suddenly rediscover your love for Mulder/Scully or Willow in three toe-tapping minutes, to say nothing of finding yourself suddenly enthralled by completely new and impossibly obscure fandoms like Odyssey 5 and Wiseguy. And Hornblower, of course, because pretty + bagpipes = time to rent the miniseries.

And that's about enough incoherent blather for now. Past my bedtime, and tomorrow I am going to make it to the nine o'clock Aleph meeting, I swear to God.
