better things

Am dashing about trying to get homework done and ready to leave for Oh God The Driving, but I had to say, I have had two very happy checking-the-mail days in a row, now!

Saturday I got a belated birthday gift from splash_the_cat, which was very yay!! Thank you! and totally something I would do, with the shopping cart. ;)

And yesterday I got a package from Paul Gross brooklinegirl! Which I opened in the elevator and then had to HIDE from everyone else. Yay! Thanks!!

And now, the oil change.

I know they're both saying essentially exactly the same thing, but when my dad calls and says, "I wish we had radar tracking on your car so I could watch you along your route," it's sort of cool and endearing, and when my mom says, "Don't you know anyone you could bring with you so you won't be alone?" I want to beat my head against the wall.
